Reconnecting to the self, others and nature
Wilderites, wilder people; wilder-rites, customs and ceremonies that celebrate the wilder beings in all of us.
Our mission is to contribute to a healthier and happier world by reconnecting people to the self, others and nature as an interbeing.
In a piece of paper is the forest, the sun, the cloud, the universe. A butterfly flapping its wings can cause a hurricane on another continent. Our ancestors, no matter how distant, have an impact on us and on our future generations. We are all connected across space and time.
We believe that this understanding, that we all interrelate in a complex, dynamic system, is fundamental to the reconnections that are necessary to tackling many of the social, economic and environmental challenges we are facing today.
“The forest is the therapist, the guide opens the doors”.
With the help of nature, you will relax and rediscover the wilder you. Not the hot-headed kind of wild, but the part of you that is untamed by the rules and conventions of modern society, the sensual, creative you. We will bear witness to your feelings and expressions, with acceptance and without judgement.
We believe that by restoring these connections, we will see happier beings, stronger communities, and healthier ecosystems.
“To be is to inter-be”, says Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh.
